We brought in Billy Colbert once again and gave him the green light to create a magical vibe. Jackpot— celebrating life’s little victories. This low-ceilinged, dank basement space needed every bit of Billy’s creative force. When combined with the talents of Geoff McNabola, Jimmy Fowler, Chris O’Connor and the rest of our artisans, we cajoled the space into one of DC’s best dive bars.
Like its neighbor RocketBar, Jackpot has no presence on 7th St. NW but for its front door. That and a Jimmy Fowler made sign that boasts “Free Popcorn” is all the urging that passersby need to head down the stairs. And that’s the whole menu! But feel free to order food from any of the nearby restaurants or have Ubereats deliver it right to your barstool.
Once inside, customers are met by a hustling, friendly staff of 3 that absolutely crushes it on game nights. JackPot is a win.
